THE ASYLUM A ti..o
barber who had been committed to the
asylum some time ago, yesterday
morning made good his escape and for
the greater part of the day was out
of custody. He was not a violent
patient so had privileges of the asylum
yard and he was not missed until he
had been gone presumably for several
hours. He was found by the authori
ties wandering near the Tribolet
slaughtering pens.

George F. Macnider arrived In Phoenix
yesterday morning after an absence

Diego and Los Angeles and has made
the formr city his home since leaving
here. He still retains property inter
ests in Phoenix and will be here for

RETURN OF DR. MARTIN Dr.
Ancil Martin and family are expected
to return to the city Monday morning
after a summer's absence. Part of this
time 'was spent on the coast but for
several weeks past Dr. Martin has
been in New York Oty doing hospital
work and acquainting himself with
some of the latest methods in surgery
in his special lines. John U. Martin,
a brother of Dr. Martin, accompanied
by his wife and two children, arrivai
in the city yesterday and will be her.
