'governor wolfley RF1DRNING WEST He Writes of the Supreme Courts' In Difference to His Widely. Published Criticism. A letter was received yesterday from former Movernor Wolfley, who has been in Washington for several weeks, saving that he would shortly leave for home b:' the way o New Orleans, tfm'ernor Wolfley has been creating something of a stir in Washington for several weeks by having issued a pamphlet calling upon congress to im peach the supreme court of the United States for its decision, or rather Its contrary decisions alleged in to have been made in the case of the Gila llend Reservoir and Irrigation company. The pamphlet, which was in the na ture of a brief, was sent to each meni ber'ol the house of representatives and to the speaker, calling upon the latter to np:nint a committee to Investigate the action of the supreme court in this matter. The covernor"aited about Wash ington .o see how the supreme court would take it; he rather ex;iected that his criticism vould bring about his citation for contempt, but he hardly expected that the hovse would take any artro-i. In his letter he states that it is in conceivable that the highest court of the land shock! submit to such crit icism without citing him for lontempt. There is a r.ote of ilNjust in the let ter conveying the impression that the governor believes that the eimrt is made u; of a lot of mollycoddles.
