THE ARIZONA REPUBLICAN, FRIDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 19, 1909.
10 25th Legislative Assembly: - . "We cannot tolerate any more jockeying in fa vor of a few against the masses. The merchants of Arizona have prepared and presented a non-political, fair, honest and legal bill providing for a rail road commission, House Bill No. 59. "We intend to show the people of Arizona who are its friends and who are its enemies. Every man's vote will be re corded and published broadcast showing just where he stands. No shifting, of responsibility, no ex cuses, no trading will be tolerated. This bill is for the people, by the people and will benefit the people as a whole and you are pledged to enact a commis sion bill. Write or see your Councilman today de manding his active support of II. B. No. 59. Don't wait delays are dangerous. A reduction of freight rates means more money and prosperity to every citizen of Arizona and no injustice to railroads. All we ask is simple justice.
