THE ARIZONA REPUBLICAN, SATURDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 20, 1909. Its Money You Well, It is in the increase in yield that the val ue of a grain drill is really tested and it is through these increased returns that your profit lies. The Monitor Double Disc Drill will increase the yield from three to several bushels per acre, and does this because it plants the seed right. On this machine the two discs are made of the best saw steel, are beveled and come together at the point where tney enter the ground, forming a sharp revolving blade which cuts a clean furrow of exact and proper depth, leaving a little ridge in the center. This ridge splits the fall of the seed and leaves it in "two rows on either side of the ridge and every ker nel of the grain is covered properly and of even depth. As each kernel Is given plenty of room te result is a more vigorous stool, even growing, each shoot helping its neighbor, and a more prolific head ing of the grain. Furthermore the Monitor will do absolutely per fect work in any kind of soil and wherever a team can travel. It is the lightest draft drill made and will do good work In either wet or dry weather. Corn stalks, stubble or trash cannot clog it. The discs are cleaned automatically and work positively without a hitch. Our people turn out very superior single disc drills; also shoe and hoe drills, but for your pocket's sake. Investigate the Monitor Double Disc Drill. We are not from Missouri" nor are we from "Texas," but if you have any grain or alfalfa seed to plant we can "show yott" and can "put in your hands" the means to save seed, save horse flesh, save money and get big increased returns. popular Advertisements running for lata than HAMMOND'S AUCTIONS BIG AUCTION, Saturday, at tha Hammond Auction houe, 23 So.
