FIRE IN GLOBE OF INCENDIARY ORIGIN Two frame structures were wined out in Globe Tuesday and for a time, it was thought that the whole block was In danger. Several explosions fol lowing oiip another point to intentional setting of fire to the buildings. Imme diately following the discovery of the fires, a man . was seen to leave the building v ith his clothes in flames. The fire started in the rear of a building: used as a mercantile dry goods establishment, run by a Carr freely. The first notice of the fire was made by a muffled explosion, fol lowed in a few. seconds by another and still another one. The explosions resembled those of coal oil or gasoline. From the store where the fire started it soon spread to the adjoining frame building and In no time both buildings were a mass of leaping flames. Both buildings rere a total loss. Many of the witnesses believe that it Is a case of arson. "Almost with the second explosion," baid-Mr. Nielson to a. Silver Belt re porter.."! saw a small, dark complex ioned man run away from the burning building. He ran past my house and as he passed, I saw that his clothing was on fire. The back of his coat was afire and the scat of his pants was alsolurning. I got a good look at him as he passed. I think I would know him If I saw htm again.! I yelled at him to stop, but he. kept on running. He ran up west from my house and disappeared. I was not dressed or I would have followed him. I am as sure tut I'am that I am alive that this man set fire to the store." . ' Other who were in the vicinity of the fire at the time confirm Mr. Niel sen's story in a general way.
