appointed rant-'e officer at Camp Perry.

to September 11 of this year upon the
occasion of the international lil'lo
shooting matches there this year. This
detail will put Lieutenant La. C.arde at
Camp Perry, at the same time that the
state team from Arizona is there.
IN THE SUPREME COURT Th
supreme conn has reversed the judg
ment of the superior court of Yuma
county in the case of the state against.
Paul Fertif, and remanded the case to
the h.wer court Tor action. Fertif was
accused of a statutory offense. The
court reversed the case on the ground
that the- examiiiirip; magistrate in set
ting forth the. offense in the informa
tion failed to state what tile nature of
the offense was, contenting himself
with saving that Fort it? was accused
of a crime to wit a felony. This the
court held was reversible error.

CHANDLER IS NOW DRY John
Trainor, who operates a barber shop
iri the thriving town of Chandler, was
arrested late Wednesday evening on
a charge of selling liipior without a
license by Sheriff Jeff Adams. The
man will receive a hearing before
Judge Johnstone tomorrow. This is
the second time that Trainor lias heen
arrested for infractions of the liquor
la ws.
HARRIS RETURNS Col Charles
W. Harris, adjutant general of the
Xational Cuard. returned yesterday
from I'rescott. where he went to look
over the prospective camp grounds
of the guard for next month. Col.
Harris says that there are but three
men at Fort Whipple. All the har
racks are deserted and the electrical
connections have been taken out. and
the windows a re all nailed up. It
looks, the colonel says, as if Whipple
barracks are about to be abandoned.
