Burdick, formerly in charge of the grocery department of the Hay.len Supply Co., returned to Hayden Sunday after an absence of several weeks. C John Orr, carpenter foreman for the copper company, who has been :n San Francisco tor several months, recuperating after a serious illness, returned a few days ago and now f.-els healthier than ever. He gained about thirty-five pounds while on the coast. Airs. Robert Ezell and son returned Sunday after a visit of several weeks with relatives in the Salt River val ley. J. AI. Beattie was over from Ray Sunday, visiting friends in Hayden. C. C. Bryant has resigned his po sition with the R. & (!. V. railroad at Ray, and will return to his for mer home in Houston, Texas. The Ray ball team had intended to 1 lay Winkelman in the latter town Sunday, but for some reason was un able to get there, so the smelter nine recently formed found a chance for .a little fun in defeating the Winkel man boys by a score of eight to five. There was a large gathering of fans out for the fun, but the game was not very exciting. The smelter team took the lead with three runs in th.; second inning and held it by a wide margin to the end. The five runs credited to Winkelman were scored in the eighth a' d ninth innings. The comedy hit of the season will be "pulled off" at the theater on the evening of .May S, when members of the Epworth League will present "Timothy Delano's Courtship." Al tho' the cast will be of all local tal ent there are some of the best in cluded and a full house is assured.
