UK IT ORDAINED HY MISSION OF THIS CITY There was not a great deal of in terest manifested by electors in the "lection Sat urdu v, but enough did visit the polls to make a choice in I the matter under discussion. The purpose of the election was whether or not the board of trustees of the Tctnpe public school should be in structed to purchase a site for the proposed school building. The loca tion under discussion was a U.02 acre plot directly south of the high school lampus in what is known as (iagc addition. There wore just sixty-throe votes cast and the result when tallied up stood fifty-three in favor of purchas ing the site and ten against. The opposition was not strong and those that did not favor the purchase were not opposed to acquiring new proper ty but thought possibly that the lo cation could be improved. The tract which the board is now instructed to purchase will cost $700.00 an acre but that price is considered very r.ominal considering that it lies with in the very best protected portion of tile, city limits. Having been instructed to buy the ate the next thing for the board to t insider is some way of setting the money.
