AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING
FLANS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK EIGHTY-ONE
OF THE ORIGINAL
TOWNSITE OF PHOENIX,
Be It rdalned By the Commission of
The City of Phoenix, as follows:
Section 1. That the plans prepared
by the City Engineer for the im
provement of the alley in Block
Eighty-one (81) of the Original
Townslte of Phoenix, and on file in
the office of the City Engineer In
Book Two (2) of Street Improve
ment Plans on Page Fifty-nine (69)
are hereby adopted . as the official
plans tor the improvement of said
alley.
The grades shall be at the eleva
tions shown on these plans. The
width and location of the roadways
Bhall be as shown on these plans.
Section 2. A duplicate copy of
these plans shall be filed with the
City Recorder and kept on file In
this office.
Section 3. This Ordinance Shalt
take effect and be In force from and
after Its publication as by law re
quired. Section 4. AH ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are here
by repealed.

SALE OF DISTRICT NUMBER
THIRTY-THREE SCHOOL
BONDS.
Notice is hereby given that sealed
bids will be received at tke office of
the Board of Supervisors of Mari
copa County, In the city ot Phoenix,
Arizona, until eleven o'clock A. M.
MONDAY. JULY TWENTIETH

for the purchase ot forty (40) Dis
trict Number Thirty-three School
Bonds, with accrued Interest Bald
Bonds being In denomination of Five
4 Hundred Dollars. each, amounting in
the aggregate to the sura of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) and
bearing interest at the rate of not
exceeding six per cent per annum,
payable semi-annually. Said bonds
to be dated August first, 1914, and
payable twenty years from the date
thereof. Both principal and interest
payable in Gold Coin, Lawful Money
of the United States at the office of
the Treasurer cf Maricopa County.
Bonds to be delivered to the pur
chaser thereof in the city of Phoe
nix, Arizona, at the office of the
Clerk of the Board of Supervisors,
of said Maricopa County.
; These bonds are issued under the ,
authority of Title . XI, Revised Stat
utes of .Arizona, 1912.
All bids must be -accompanied by a
certified check upon a National Bank
or upon a Bank in Arizona, for One
Thousand Dollars payable to the
Treasurer of Maricopa County, No
bid for less than' par value and ac
crued interest to date of delivery will
be received. The checks of unsuc
cessful bidders will be returnd upon
rejection of each bid. Bids at a
rate of interest less than six ()
per eent will be considered.
The Board expressly reserves the
right to reject any. and all bids or to
waive any Informality In any bid. .

chestra one of the musicians died and
the following telegram was Immedi
ately dispatched to the parents of the
deceased; -
"John Black died today. Advise by
wire as to . disposition."
In ft few hours 4h answer was re
ceived, as follows: "We ar broken
hearted: his disposition was a roving
one." Exchange.
