Vi senta de Xoreiga died yesterday morning at the family residence, 711 North Sixth street, at the age of u'J years. The funeral will be held from St. Mary's Catholic church. Mavnard A. j Frazier. i lu for more than a year has acted as assistant to the city attorney in keeping the records of ' the city commission meetings and compiling city ordinances and com mission resolutions, has tendered his resignation to Manager Craig, effec ! tive May 1. He ha,s announced that he desires to give more attention to I his law practice and for that reason 'it is understood his resignation has i been accepted. Mr. Frazier has filled the duties of his position witii the city with credit to himself and to I the office of the city attorney. His success in law practice is alrcauy assured. SIX HORSES STRAY Six horses, three bays, two grays and a sorrel, belonging to Guy D. Acuif. either strayed or were stolen from the Acuff ranch half a mile north of the j fair grounds yesterday morning. ! The belief that they may have been stolen is based upon the fact that three, other horses were found along the roadside, having passed through an open gate, but had jiot strayed ffr from the Acuff ranch. No trace of the six horses was found, de spite energetic search all of yester day. Mr. Acuff is advertising his loss in another column of The Re publican. At yesterday's organization meeting of the Daughters of Caledonia, the new society was successfully launched by the election of Mrs. Duncan McDonald as president, Mrs. A. H. Davidson, vice-president, and Miss Jessie For sythe. secretary-treasurer. These made addresses to the members, as did A. H. Davidson. Charles R. Osljum and others. The Caledonian societies offered refreshments. Meetings will be held once a month at the homes of the members, the next meeting to be at the home of Mrs. De Winton. Mrs. Oral J.
