The Lamara "The Pursuit of Pleasure," which is the second of the series of "Who Pays?" which is the regular Thurs day and Friday program at the La mara theater yesterday, proved to b one of the finest pictures ever seen in Phoenix. It is a picture wi:'.i a purpose, and strikes at the very heart of the subject that of the surroundings of young girls to tit them for the responsibilities of life. The storv concerns the motherless daughter of a particular and narrow minded preacher who through the governess of the girl had denied her all the pleasure of lift. When she finally met a young man she fell in love with him, ran away, married him and settled down as a society queen because ho was rich and coun.l afford to humor her whims.
