Frank has cleaned the pi- liminary class in the Warren district and is coming- to Phoenix to establish a reputation in the roped arena. Mc Ahren picked a good trial horse for Frank when he matched him with Mendoza. . W. D. Clark will be one of the ref erees, according to present plans of Matchmaker McAhren. Clark comes here with a reputation as a referee in all lines of athletics. He holds a ref eree license from the New Jersey box ing commission and Is listed in Spauld lngs as an athletic official approved by ' the Sporting Commission of the east. Clark knows the game from A to Z and is capable of going in and handling the fighters, as he has made athletics his profession. Tommy Dixon, who holds a New York commission, will also work in the ring as an official for the fair week card. Tommy was featherweight cham pion of America a few years back to be correct about 25 years back but Tommy has Just as much "pep" today as the average man of 30 years. Dixon and Clark will work in all events. In addition to the referee, two judges will assist In making: decisions in all events. S. A. to hold the interest of the fans. The Coyotes carry the burden in this city and the Phoenix Union high school boys feel equal to the task of upholding the honors of the valley. The Coyotes have played three games so far this season and have lost two of the three, but the defeats were suffered in con tests with heavier and more exper ienced players than usually face high school teams. The opening game of the season was played against the high school alumni and the Coyotes dropped the game 13 to 6. In the second game the local boys lost to the University of Arizona second team 10 to 0, but the first high school clash resulted In a victory for the high school over the Mesa high team by the one sided score cf 67 to 0. Next Saturday the Coyotes will play the Prescott high school team at Bast- lake park in the second game for Ari- HHLOSIS ASH WILL - MEET THIS EVENING The annual dinner of the Arlsona Anti-Tuberculosis association will be held at the Woman's club this evening, when officers and directors for the coming year will be elected. Proml nent members of the association from different parts of the state will attend the meeting, over 100 members and guests having responded to the invita tions issued by Mrs. Dwight B. Heard, chairman of the dinner committee. Dean Byron Cummings, acting presl dent of the University of Arizona, will make the address of the evening and reports will be made by T. C. Cuvellier for the state association, Mrs. E. J, Fenchman for Pima county and Rev, Bertrand R. Cocks for Maricopa county. Dr. Samuel H. Watson of Tucson president of the association, will pre side. Among the number of out-of town people who will come to Phoenix for the event will be Miss Jane Rider, state bacteriologist. . Dr. Flynn of Prescott Father Connolly and Dr. Jer emiah Metzger of Tucson.
