MANN ACT CHARGE Charged with
violating the Mann acL J. J. Addlngton
yesterday was held to answer to the
federal court by United States Com
missioner , Henke, following a hear-
of the case. Addlngton previously had
entered a plea of not guilty to the
charge. It is alleged that he trans
ported Blanch Tunstall from Phoenix
to Lahabra, Calif, for immoral pur
poses. Miss Tunstall is being held In
jail under bond of S 1,000 as a witness
in the case and Addlngton was com
mitted to the county Jail "when he
failed to furnish a bond of 82,000
HELD ON MANN ACT CHARGE
Rafael Conturos yesterday pleaded
guilty before United States Commis
sioner .Henke to a charge of violating
the Mann act and was held to answer
to the federal court. He was commit
ted to the county Jail when he failed
to furnish a bond of $1500. It Is al
leged that he transported Adela Alta
mirano from Blythe, Cal., to Phoenix
for Immoral purposes. Miss Altaml
rano is being held In the county Jail
under a bond of J 500 as a witness In
the case.

decrees of divorce were filed in the
superior court yesterday. Ernestina de
Walsh asks for a decree from Gull-
lerna Walsh on the grounds of failure
to provide. She alleges she was forced
to live on the charity of relatives. She

Junior guild of the Trioity pro-cathe

HIGHWAY CONTRACT LET The
contract for the construction of three
milea of highway in Apache county
near Hunt was let yesterday to Tan
ner Brothers of SL Joseph. The road
is a continuation of the highway prev
iously Improved by the state. It will
be of gravel surface and the cost of
construction will be In the neighbor
hood Of $16,000.
POSTPONE JURY CALL The Jury
which was to report In the superior
court of Pinal county at Florence next
Monday, Nov. 29, has been postponed
until Dec 6, Judge O. J. Baughn an
nounced last nighL The postponement
was made necessary by a conflict of
dates with cases In the federal court
now In session, which made it Impos
sible for many attorneys and others to
attend the superior court In Pinal
county next week.
