Next Monday, Dee. 13, the board of trustees meets with the board of su pervlsors in Phoenix to award the con tract for eight new buildings to be started immediately. We hope to get some of these buildings erected In time to be used for a portion of this school year. At the present time w have two classes in session in the Methodist Sunday school rooms, located on the southwest corner of the school grounds, ana two other classes in session in the south corridor of the auditorium These two classes in the corridor are in the worst place which we are com pelled to use for class rooms because we are continually making uee of the auaitorium proper for such things as our Departmental music, play practice etc.. which is needless to say is quite distressing to both teachers and pupils The teachers at present are quite Diisy wonting out n detailed course o study for the Glendale schools. When we pet this whipped into shape it will he possible for the child to finish the Glendale grammar school in either six. seven, eight or nine years without ever being retained in the same grade the second year. e hope to be able to get our course of study so nearly com pleted that soon after Christmas w will be able to reorganize the whole school plan, the reorganization based entirely upon our new course of study. The proposed course of study takes into consideration very largely the ability of the individual pupil to grasp his school work; that is, if the pupil is quick to grasp the work he will very probably be rushed along under course "A." If not so ready to grasp the work, he will b put In course "B." "C" or "D," as the case may warrant. (Be careful now and don't crowd too much, because every' pupil Is not a eourso "A" pupil, and we sincerely re iiuost that all parents give the teach ers eredit for possessing ability to classify a pupil where he can do the best work.)
