Once again the Christmas season has rolled around, bringing with it th Yale- tide spirit, centuries old and yet ever new. Then life in general a.nd the holiday season In particular becomes one mad dash after the other to the favorite shops with perhaps a list that is not completed as one would have it and probably with some one left out alto gether. ThCr Is a fascination in mixing with the crowd Of Christmas shoppers who throng the gaily decorated shops, gay with Christmas greenery and simply ooaing the Christmas spirit The very sight of a holly wreath reminds one that his own childhood days are not so far behind and that Christmas has its pleasures for the grownups as well as for the youngsters. And so In comes the Christmas tree, tall and slen der and green, to be made sparkling and beautiful. And those who are away from their homes at this season of the year make every effort possible to reach there at least in time for the that long list and select the gift that h dinner. not sooner. The momentum started by our Great Reduction Sale is gaining headway rapidly. This Sale was . a great success from the view point Of .val ue of merchandise distributed. We started something which augurs well for the consumer. Our judg ment has been vindicated. vThe "something" needed to start mer chandise out of the retail store into the homes of the public was low Prices. This was verified by the prompt response to our Great Re duction Sale. Your very liberal support has made it necessary for us to expand and take in more room. It has been simply impossible to give you the service that you are entitled to in our present crowded quarters. YOUR NEW TOGGERY will give you just twice the room you now have. A store for Men and Boys and a store for Women and Children. Your Shoe Department will double its present quarters. Won't that be nice? A Real Store for Glendale. We must have money to do this. We are going to remodel the entire front of our present location and the one joining us. This will cost us Thousands of Dollars, to give you a store you will be proud of. We are here to stay and every dollar you spend here at your Toggery will be re-invested in merchandise aid equipment to give you better val ues and better service. To make this possible we have decided to further reduce our already low prices. In many instances they are below replacement value. OUR POLICY. Never to invoice a . dollar's worth of merchandise that we could sell, coupled with the fact that we are advised by U. S. Collector of Internal Revenue That we will be required to Invoice at the high prices paid for merchandise, not at today's prices caus ing us another, big lossin our income taxes. DOWN!! GO PRICES! We simply have got to move our merchandise before the first day of Jan uary. In order to do this we have forgotten the cost. Our one aim is to reduce our present stock. Reduced prices on everything excepting a few lines restricted by the makers. The people of this community are looking forward to low er prices. They have a right to expect th'em, and this store has al ways taken the lead in price Reduction for the benefit of its friends and patrons even in many instances at a sacrifice to us. No Monkey Business about this sale. Prices, we believe, are lower now than they will be later, because they are below re-production cost Although it means a sacrifice on our part, we are willing to "Pay the Fiddler" and throw our stock on the market at prices that are below original cost of production. This, in order to clear the store, as far as possible, of Fall and Winter goods, and at the same time give the public our friends and patrons the benefit. Prices positively the lowest. To those of our patrons who have been waiting for the bottom to be reached, we want to say that the re duction we are offering during this sale makes it, all in all, one of the greatest we have ever held. Help us clear the store and at the same time secure some phenomenal values in fresh, clean merchandise. Don't miss this opportunity to buy for your present and future needs. Come in early and secure the benefit of these reductions. Our Price-Quality combination will make your buying a pleasure as well as a Money-Saving transaction. J3 i it.-' a TV f9? ESI 1 ?M m
