Teachers are expected to bear their
share of the burdea during: this cris
ta ty rendering: additional service in
Irarsa-er hours or larger and more

Teachers salaries should be ad
Justed on the basis ot merit and ex
perience. Salary schedules for teachers in
Arizona should be arranged with the
view of encouraging the better type
of teacher to remain In the state;
thus redacinc migratory tendencies.
School officials should, therefore,
maintain a graduated schedule de
iltived to eive teachers increases ex
tending; over a period ot years and
feae4 on merit.

teachers should be sufficient to give
O. teacher a thrift wasre. This Is
dj-wrxlent upon varying conditions
of living throughout the state. A
minimum wage of $1,200 Is recom
mended by the National Education
association.

at thta critical period. Teachers
anust have shown real meritorious
ervico to be entitled to the same.

BIG BAR CLASS REGISTERS
The largest class that ever appeared
before the state board of examiners
