F. iH-en and the McLaughlin barber shop in Hagerman, Chaves county,-were completely destroyed by fire at 4: tin o'clock Tuesday morning. Tho fire broke out in the Deen build ing and spread to the barber shop be fore it could be gotten under control. A large hotel building was saved only after hard work. The cause of tne fire is unknown. The Deen building was insured to the amount of f-'iOii anil tho contents to the amount oi $7iHl. but the loss exceeded these amounts bv S Ooo. Nothing in tho Deen Store was saved. The contents of the barber shop were saved and the building was fully insured.
