Phone THE BAR ASSOCIATION AT SANTA EE Will Be Held Two Days and Unusually interesting Pro gram Will Be Given The New Mexico liar association will hold its annual meeting at Santa Fe August 31 and September 1, and a program of unusual Interest has been prepared. The president of the association, Alonzo li. McMlllen, has Issued a circular letter explaining it he t urpose of the association and giving the program as It has been arranged. Dear Sir The twenty-second annu al meeting of tlie New Mexico liar fet-sociation will be held In the city of Santa Fe on August 81 and Sep tember 1, laus, the justice of tho su preme court having consented to ad journ the session fixed for August 31 until the cliuse of the meetings of tho cssociatlon. This arrangement will dllow all who desire to do so to at tend the meeting of the bar assocla t.cn and the sessions of the supremo ccurt on the same trip. The railroads have granted a single rate fare for round trip for the occa sion and tickets will be good from August 2 to September 6. This will allow a week for recreation In the de lightful summer climate of Sauta Fe. The city is rich In hlstorto associa tions and is surrounded by many places of great sccnlo beauty that are easy of access. We will have an excellent program for the association meetings and the well known hospitality of the people of Santa Fe Is sufficient guaranty that all those attending will find am ple entertainment. This meeting witT be, particularly Important because the officers eloct ed and the committees appointed will have an opportunity to co-operate with the coming legislative assembly In securing needed legislation of great importance to tne lawyers, especially l.i the line of Dracttce and procedure. A gloom was cast over the com munity by the death yesterday morn ing of aged Captain Corbett, a highly respected citizen of this vicinity, and father of our esteemed townsman, John W. Corbett.
