Orltchlow of the Santa Fe Central Railway, left to day for a ten days' trip over the line. Hazel Bond, daughter of Frank Bond of Espanola, came to the city last night. She Is visiting Helen Cooper. Postofflce Inspector A. P. Smtthers, of Denver, is In town on official business, He is checking up the local postofflce. Territorial Secretary J. W. Raynolds left this morning for Las Vegas, where he will remain for a day, returning to the capital tomorrow evening. . Mrs. Henry L. Waldo of Kansas City, expects to return to her home during the latter part of the coming week. She la enjoying her visit here very much. A. R. Gibson has recovered from hij recent severe illness and is preparing to go to California for a stay of three or four weeks In order to fully recuperate. Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Clancy of Al buquerque, spent part of the week In town, Mr. Clancy attending to legal business while here. They left last night for home. William McKean, an attorney-at-law at Taos, is In the capital, having legal business here. He will remain during the coming week to attend the district court which will then be In session. Sheriff Alexander Read of Rio Arriba county, arrived in town last night. He will likely act as court Interpreter dur ing the spring term of court in this city which commences on Monday next. District Attorney E. C. Abbott, who has been confined to his residence dur ing the past week with a severe attack of rheumatism, has recovered and is able to be out and to attend to his du ties;' Associate Justice Frank W. Parker, of the territorial supreme court, who has been in town the entire week on of ficial business, left this evening for Silver City, where he will open district court for Grant county on Monday Aiornlng. Hon. C. E. Miller, of Anthony, chair man of the Board of County Commis sioners of Dona Ana county, and who has been in the capital since Tuesday on a visit with Representative W. it. H. Llewellyn, left this evening for his home. He enjoyed his visit here very Justice W. J. Mills of Las Ve gas, and Associate Justice B. S. Baker of Albuquerque, were in the capital during the week attending the session of the territorial supreme court on Thursday. J. W. Poe, president of the Citizens Bank at Roswell, has been in the city during the week looking after legisla tive matters in the interest of the banks of the territory and southeast ern New Mexico. He is a guest at the Palace. James L. Seligman, president of the Seligman Bros. Company, who spent the past four weeks in Philadelphia on the sad mission of attending the funer al of his deceased father, and arrang ing family affairs, returned home on Wednesday.. On Tuesday Mrs. N. B. Laughlin gave ii luncheon in honor of Mrs. Hen ry L. Waldo of Kansas City. The dec orations of fhe table were In pink and white. Mills Ken drick, who i3 at present making a vis itation to Albuquerque, will arrive in Santa Fe early next week and remain over the succeeding Sunday, March 8, when he will administer confirmation In the Church of the Holy Faith. L. Stevenson, who is also the mother of Mrs. James L, Seligman, is In town in attendance at the bedside of her mother, who has been critically ill for the past twelve days, but is reported as improving slowly. R. B. Stevenson of Omaha, Neb., son of Mrs. Stevenson, who has been in the city for the past week with his sick mothoi', left yesterday for home. H. B. Alfred Grunsfeld of the , big mercantile dry goods firm of Grunsfeld Bros., at Albuquerque, and who is also treasurer of the Bureau of Immigra tion, visited Santa Fe during the week and attended the meeting of the Bu reau of Immigration Thursday. Mr. Grunsfeld is a valuable member of the bureau, attending carefully to hls-du-ties and aiding at all times and when even possible in advertising New Mexi co's resources and in bringing capital and immigration to the territory. He is one of the leading citizens of his town and county. E. A. Seven courses were served, and Professor Perez' orchestra was in attendance, rendering sweet Spanish strains during the luncheon. Menu cards were hand-painted roses, the name of each guest appearing thereon. They were exquisite souve nirs. Besides Mrs. J. W.
