At a-Fourth of July supper here last Thursday the sum of $30 was raised by the peo' pie for the purpose of erecting school house in the new town. . The settlers in the vicinity and citizens of the new town are, now anxious that a public school should be established with, the beginning of the school year next fall. The citizens and settlers in the vicinity will Hold a public meeting on July 27 to take the necessary steps for the creation of a new school dis trict."
