Las Cruces, N. M., Sept., 20. One
of the largest realty deals consum
mated in the Mesilla Valley in many
years was made this week when the
property known as the Shajeiu Col
ony and comprising ttOO acres at Dona
Ana, was sold to J. F. and R. .1. Ku
dus, of Many, Louisiana; J. 15. Gin
gras, of Alexandria, Ixnilsiuna, and
Park It. Blrdwell, of this place.
The new owners will take possess
ion immediately and will as soon as
possible, seed 500 acres in alfalfa. The
sum of $20,000 has been set aside for
improvements and it Is the lnteutlon

on the property and 50 acres of laud
for a boys' school.
