Silver City, N. M., Oct., 8. The Azure Mining company in the Burros recen'tly installed a large core drill up on its copper properties, and while the drill has only been in operation for a very short time and they only " got down to a depth of 140 feet, it struck a large body of copper ore from which assays show thirty per cent. The company is still sinking the drill in this point and has up to the present time penetrated thirty feet of black oxide and is not yet through the ore deposits. This was the first venture with a core drill in this locality for mining purposes and it would indicate that the core drill will prove quite a pro fitable investment in a mining way.
