The ills peculiar to vomen, take different forms. Some ladies suffer, every month, from dark rings round their eyes, blotches on their skin and tired feeling. Others suffer agonies of pain, that words can hardly express. Whatever the symptoms, remember there Is one medicine that will go beyond mere symptoms, and act on the cause of their troubles, the weakened womanly organs. Wine of Cardui Mrs. M. C. M Oct., 1C Over five million dollars will be spent by the Santa Fe In re-building its lines from Texico to Woodward, Oklahoma, ac cording to figures furnished by Avery Turner, vice president and general manager of the Pecos Valley lines of the system, who was here last week from Amarillo headquarters en t route to Aus'tin. Grading andrelaying of steel for ior tions of the work are already in pro gress, several crews and over one thousand workmen being engaged in the undertaking. The distance be tween the two objective points is 270 miles, and 75-pound steel rails are to be laid for the entire length, replac ing lighter steel used in originally con structing the line, with the sole view of handling cattle shipments. The ob ject of the re-building is to reduce the grade and curvature and prepare the division for the handling of an im mense transcontinental tonnage, to be partially diverted from the present line to the Pacific coast. Vice-President Turner says that it is proposed to reduce the grades of tbis-'270-mile section to one-sixth of 1 per cent, which will be wonderfully low, compared to other transcontinent al lines. Another feature will be the straight ening out of the line enough to re duce the mileage fully five miles. Old roadbeds for miles and miles will be discarded entirely, and it is estimated that one hundred miles of the rebuild ing will cost more than double the or iginal expenditures. Among the most modern improve ments involved in the rebuliding pro cess will be the placing of all stations upon light grades and evenly spaced, in order that trains may slowdown and get good starts without loosing so much time and spending much pow er. This will be somewhat of an in novation' in Texas railway circles. Arrangements will be made to 'es tablish the block signal system to double the capacity of yards at all stations, to establish small shops at each division terminal points, and to make the division among the best in the country in every particular. When all the ballasting of the re built district is Complete, over $5,000, OOff .will have been expended. AUTO SCHEDULE IS ARRANGED Buzz Wagons Making Regular Trips From Estancia to Albuquerque Other Duke City Notes. Albuquerque, N. M., Oct., 16. -The automobile schedule to Estancia, Will ard and Moriarty, from Albuquerque has been arranged. The machines leave this city each morning at 8:30 !a. m., and leave Estancia each morn ing at the same time. The trip is a delightful ride through the canyons and across the plains. The line has since it started been well patronized, each car being full of passengers. The rate is reasonable and the short cut to the Estancia Valley means much to business men of both sides of the mountain. J. H. Bearup, the head of the Rio Grande Woolen Mills of this city, left yesterday for Guthrie, Oklahoma, where he goes as a delegate to the Western Farmers convention. Mr. Bearup expects to make addresses on the advantages and opportunities of New Mexico and to boost especially for Albuquerque. The coal situation at Albuquerque has become so exasperating over the unwarranted raise in price and the general belief in short weights given by the old coal companies that a num ber of local men are arranging to ship in coal.
