Newspaper Changes Ownership
The San Juan County Idex at Aztec,
San Juan county, has been purchased
by T. L. Miller and M. Maberry, young
men who lately ccanie to New Mexico
from Illinois.
Ranch House Destroyed by Fire
The beautiful ranch home of Mr. and
Mrs. J. C. Martinez,. five miles west
of Des Moines, Union county, was a
few days ago destroyed by fire. Loss
$5,000.
Tesuque Indians Return The party
i of Pueblo Indians from Tesuque,
which went to Denver to take part In
the Pure Food Exposition, returned to
Santa Fe today, well satisned with
their trip.

Meet Wednesday Night There will
be a special meeting of the Spanish
American Alliance at the regular
meting place on Wednesday night at
8 o'clock for he purpose of initiating
new members. All members are re
quested to be on hand. '
Late Spring Although at Carlsbad
and in the Mesilla Valley and as far
north as Santa Rosa, fruit trees are in
full blossom, at Santa Fe, spring will
be very late and it will ne a month
yet before the peach and apricot trees
will be in bloom. This is a good indi
cation for a plentiful fruit crop.
