Dec. 26. ? John Holm qulst won the big bear hid raffllod at the Llttlo DouglftB, and Joe Robinson won a pig at tho Rainier. The show at the Treadwell Christ mas Eve was well attended, and there was a good program, which overyono enjoyed. There was something for all the children on the Christmas tree, and they all went home happy. The dance at the Natatorium last night was well attended, and every body had a good time. Music was 1 furnished by the Lyric orchestra. Bob McKinnon won a big turkey at the Phoenix Bar, on Christmas Eve. The Dolphin arrived at Douglas about five o'clock last night with a big mail and a heavy cargo, and lots of Christmas presents. Cassio SecriBt gave away as a Christmas souvenir as pretty a cut glass jug as ever was seen. There are a lot of beautiful calen dars floating around the isalnd. Did you see that of the Opera House? Mrs. Coughlln won a big cake at the Douglas bakery. Miss Rose Kane, olf Hobnah, got the first prize at tho Alaska Drug Co., Mrs. M. Benson, sec ond. The gentlemen's first prize went to E. Young, and the second to E. Strom, and Miss Mason received the baby prize. The largest mall of the year came in on the Dolphin yesterday. Dennis Murphy won the beautiful umbrella given away at the Little Douglas, and Dick Smith the hat given by the City bar. The midnight mass at the Catholic church was tho best in years. The singing was beautiful and the house I was crowded. H Mrs. P. Mulligan came in on the P Mariposa to spend Christmas with her ? daughter, Mrs. F. HeberL k W. R. Llcvere, wife and daughter ? returned on the Mariposa, and were L glad to get back. Mrs. Llevers has ^ been away several months for the ben efit of her little daughter's health, i."
