Mr. Florence, of Douglas, was a Ju neau visitor today. A number of Douglas people are planning for a cruise within a short time. The line-up of the Douglas basket ball team is as follows: Phil Mc Kanna, Henry Dahl, Bob, Coughlin, Oliver Olson, James Chambers, Luth er Chambers, and Lock Mulligan. There will be no game tonight as the hall is not ready, but the teams will play on Wednesday night at the rink, as the management of that place will have it ready by that time. The match will be between the Treadwell store team and the Douglas team. The basket social at the Catholic Club rooms promises to be well at tended, and a good time is in store for all. The Saturday night show at the Treadwell Club was well attended. The firemen's meeting on Saturday night was well attended and an in teresting session was held. After adjournment everybody went to the banquet hall, where they were served with the finest baked beans and brown bread and coffee, the feast lasting until midnight. A large crowd of young people came over from Juneau yesterday anil en joyed themselves skating. I)r. Mathos is expected back on the next trip of the Georgia. The big dance at the roller rink is set for Feb. 14. The anniversary of the birth of Hobby Burns will be observed at the Lyric theatre tonight. An excellent program has been prepared. Charles Stites won the big box of candy rallied at Palace of Sweets. Dr. DeVighnc was a Juneau visitor this morning. Dr. Goddard, of Sitka, was a visitor at Douglas today. 11.
