BANK EXPERT SAYS BUSINESS IMPROVES "The present improved business conditions are reflected in the state ments of April 4, rendered by our banks in compliance with the official calls of the comptroller of the cur rency and state bank examiner," said John E. Price, the bank examiner, yes terday. "That we have not stood still is evi denced by a gain in deposits of over $90,000 each business day since the last call. February 4, or a total of ov er $4,770,000 during the period. "In 1903 the total deposits were $20,895,000. Five years later they had grown to $63,297,000, and on the fourth of this month they were practically $82,800,000. An enviable record, isn't it? "Due credit should be given to the banks Tor contributing to the improv ed business conditions. By increasing their loans $4,200,000 during the last | two months they have given concrete evidence of their faith in the stability of general business. "Personally, 1 believe these bank statements show Seattle is entering upon a new era of great activity."? Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
