DOUGLAS DOG POSSESSES POWERS OF REASON DOUGLAS. April 24.?A little inci dent that occurred here this morning ? seems to have settled the controversy ^ as to whether or not dogs possess j. reason. Hob Coughlin went from his L place of business up to Leiver's to [ get his dog, who was there. After p coming back, he thought of having C forgotten to get some cigarettes. He r gave a note to the dog and told him to j* take it back to Leiver's. Leiver gave . the cigarettes to Rover, and the lat ter scampered off to his master with H the prize. The dog has not been - trained. I . ! WATER CARNIVAL IS A GREAT SUCCESS i* DOUGLAS. April 24. ?
