Mr. NoIbou tried out his hand some big Kelly auto truck yesterday, and it worked beautifully. Ho has the Alaska agency for the Kelly trucks. It Is the intention to make a round trip from Juneau to each of the other terminal points every two hours. The journey to either place will consumo about 15 minutes. He spent most of his time at Seward, ltev. Blackwell caught some of the enthusiasm which he says permeates the whole Westward country on ac count of th< passage of the Alaska rail ] road bill. He predicts wonderful de ! velopments in that section. SCHOOL CHILDREN HAVE HALF HOLIDAY. The Juneau school students had a half-holiday Mondayin honor of Wash ington's birthday. Shortly, after as sembling Monday morning a petition ; addressed to Superintendent Green and asking for a holiday was signed _ by the children. The request was promptly granted. _ | GEORGE LEKOCI IS | ADJUDGED INSANE Georgo Lakoci. a native of Scutari, Albania, was found to be insane by a jury yesterday and has been commit ted to the Morningside sanitarium by U. S. Commissioner J. B. Marshall. Lakoci came to the United States in 1911 and arrived in Juneau from Dawson in September of last fall. He has put in most of the time since com ing here sitting around hotel lobbies. He thinks that he is sick and uuable to work, and at times believes that he is pursued by evil-minded persons.
