Wright, constructor for the Light House Service, who has been working at the Cape St. Elias light during the summer, arrived yesterday on the Kukui and left for the south this morning on the Ala meda. He is on his way to his sta tion at Ketchikan. Oscar R. Hart, Oak Olson and W. K. Martin, three traveling men of Juneau, left for the westward last night on the Mariposa. William Woouwcrth. head of a syndicate of moving picture takers working in Southeastern Alaska, is registered at the Alaskan. James K. Hawksworth, wife of the superintendent of education for Southeastern Alaska, arrived from the South last night on the Mariposa land will make her future home In Juneau. Fred A. Case, insurance underwrit er. who has been spending the past few weeks in the States, returned last night on the Mariposa. Mrs. W. D. Morse of New York, representing powerful Interests on the cast coast for $3,000,Q00. The big craft sailed from Seattle for London November 14, and put back to San Francisco December 14 in ditress. The contract for sixteen now boilers was let January 19 to the Union Iron Works and the car-[ go taken aboard in Seattle sold. The Minnesota is still at San Fran cisco, where the repairs were com pleted September 15th. JUNEAU MAN WILL BE MARRIED IN SEATTLE Rufe W. Lindsay, well known mining cngincor of Juneau and Treadwell and at present associated with the Speel River Project, is now a married man, according to word received in Juneau. The wedding took place in Seattle last week and the bride was MIhs Cath erine Maioney, who last year was a member of the Douglas school teaching staff. She is a sister of Miss Ann Maioney of the nurses staff of the St. Ann hospital at Douglas. The* young couple have many friends on Gastineau Chan nel and they are expected to ar rive from the south on an early boat. They will make their future home in Juneau. MARIPOSA ARRIVED FROM SOUTH SUNDAY AFTERNOON The steamer Mariposa arrived ? from the south yesterday afternoon I and remained here unloading freight until eight o'clock last evening, j The steamer hud a small passenger list but brought 136 tons of freight for Juneau and 61 tons for Thane. Henry Hart, who was arrested Friday night charged with being insane on the question of religion, was tried late Saturday afternoon in the Commissioner's court and was found to be insane. The jury was composed of A. C. Babbage, Arthur Baldwin, M. ,C. Stewart, \V. F. Pendergast, F. P. Cook and John E.
