RODOLPH VALENTINO AND
i GLORIA SWANSON TONIGHT
‘‘An ideally attractive heroine ami
hero.”
Thus does Elinor Glyn, famous
British novelist, characterize Gloria
I Swanson, the star and ltodolpli Vai
| entino. leading man in “Beyond the
Rocke," a superb Paramount fca
I tiirc which comes to the Liberty
j Theatre tonight only.
Madam Glyn made a rush trip
| from Europe to Hollywood in twelve
I days for the purpose of aiding nnd
I assisting director Sum Wood in the
; making of the picture, which was
adapted from one of her most popu
lar novels.
“It seems so good to boo you
again — after the many pleasant
memories of "The Great Moment,”
smiled Miss Swanson. it will be
recalled that that picture was also
based on Madam Glyn’s stories. .
The noted novelist remained on
the set every day until the picture
was completed, giving many valu
able suggestions drawn from her
knowledge of the places and people
concerned and iroin the fact that
she, being the author, had visual
ized exactly the characters she hud
drawn. ^
