" Douglas Islai* < News j, HENRY HUSEIN 1 PASSES AWAY ; IN CALIFORNIA Pioneer of Douglas Succumbs to Cancer — Dies in Escondido, Cal. Henry Museth, one of the real pioneers of Douglas, died at ilia home in Escondido, Cal., on October 4, according to a telegram received here. Death was due to cancer of the stomach, which caused several months of severe illness, the last three of which kept him entirely ' bed ridden. Mr. Museth would have been 73 years of age next January. He cam# to the Island til years ago last June, and he lived here continuously until three years ago when he left with his family to establish a home in Escondido. Of quin manner and steady habits, Mr. Museth was one of the most re spected citizens this town has had_ Mr. Museth is survived by his wife, one son. John, and five daughters, Misses Agnes and Trine in Escondi do, Mrs. J. W. Stoft, also in Escon dido. Mrs. Jack Davies in Ketchikan, and Mrs. Joe Williams in Juneau. One brother and two sisters in Nor way also survive.
