preme court has affirmed the decis
ion of the King county court re
garding the disposition of the Kl
lamar mine, vesting the title in
J. D Meenach and tve Eilamar
Mining Co. F. C. Lawrence, who
In ought the suit, alleged that there
was fraud conmeied with the sale
of the mine before development, to
Meenach, and was trying* to have
t ho sale sot aside.

of news from Valdez that the vol
cano on the island of Akutan was
active and that Unalaska had
suffered an earthquake shock,
has aroused considerable interest
among scientific men and Prot.
Smith, of the Stanford university

'investigation of all volcanoes along

rangements have been made for a
congressional junketing party
