Denver, June 20—Congressman Mondell of Wyoming, lias issued a bitter attack on the land with drawal policy of the president. He gays that the withdrawal from entry of coal lands increased great ly the probability of a winter shortage of fuel. A. K. Beatson, owner of theLatouehe Bonanza mine, was an arrival froUifthe States on the Portland . He states that the newspaper reports of the sale of his mine, were erroreous, the property still belonging to him. A deal was on this spring, engineered by Senator Turner aud O. O Labaree formerly of Seward, for a sale of the property, but as the experts sent up by the pur-» chasers were unable to make the de sired examination, owing to the un usual depth of snow, the time on Ibe option was extended until this fall Two experts, K. C. Lincoln and O. P. Chisholm, came north on the Portland and will make a thorough examination of the mine. Mr. Beatson refuses to make public the price lit which the property is offered for sale, but does say that the figure of $5,000,000 given by the newspapers recently is too low.
