Bowhunters Plan
Annual Tournament
Sun Valley Bowhunters have
scheduled their 10th annual invi
tational Javelina Archery Tourna
ment at their range Jan. 19 and
20, Jim Stracener, president, said
yesterday.
The range is located just south
of East Washington Street near
its intersection with Van Buren.
Roland Taylor, general chair
man, said 42 life-size javelina
targets, including at least three
moving targets, will be provided
for the tournament on the club’s
natural terrain range. In addi
tion five novelty shoots are plan
ned.
Registration will be from 7 to
10 a. m. daily.

signed a contract with radio sta
tion KWBY.
The program “Muhammad
Speaks” will be aired on Sundays
from 10:30 A. M. to 11 A. M. start
ing December 23, 1962. Elijah
Muhammad, Messenger of Allah,
succeeded in acquiring radio time
in order to convey “the truth to
the so-called American Negro,
will get the truth first hand.” I
was unable to gain further in
formation at the present time but
will give full report at a later
date.
Their meetings are held Sun
