He has served as sports consultant to die Far East, at the request of the U. S. State Department, president of the Chicago Boys’ Club, special representative of President Eisenhower to the Olympics. He currently heads up the juvenile delinquency preven tion sports program for the Illinois Youth Commission. Owens travels over 75,000 miles each year to speak to school, civic and athletic groups.
