JESSE OWENS, a legend in his own time for his recordbreaking
Olympic track feats, is known today as an expert in all phases of
athletics. He has served as sports consultant to die Far East, at
the request of the U. S. State Department, president of the Chicago
Boys’ Club, special representative of President Eisenhower to the
Olympics. He currently heads up the juvenile delinquency preven
tion sports program for the Illinois Youth Commission.
Owens travels over 75,000 miles each year to speak to school,
civic and athletic groups.

Featured At Museum
A special exhibition of the
paintings of Eda Sterchi will
be on view in the Phoenix Art
Museum, 1625 N, Central, dur
ing November.
The exhibition of oils/ en
titled "Moslem-Africa,” was
painted by the artist during an
extended stay in Africa, where
she lived in Algiers and in var
ious native villages.
