Each time a driver is convicted or forfeits bail for a hazardous moving traffic violation, demer it points will be charged against his permanent record. Twelve points within any 12 month period will make one’s license subject to suspension. Following are a list of viola tions and the number of demer its chargeable: Driving under influence of liquor or reckless driving while under the influence, 8 points; reckless driving, 6 points; speed ing, 3 points; and all other mov ing violations, 2 points. In addition, mandatory revoca tion is given upon conviction for the following offenses: second offense involving liquor influ ence or reckless driving, hit and run causing death or injury, driv ing under influence or a narcot ic, manslaughter, felony, or per jury relating to car ownership or licensing. PATTERSON KEEPS WORLD BOXING CROWN AT MIAMI Floyd Patterson regained his fistic powers after being floored twice in the first round by the jolting punches of Swedish chal lenger, Ingemar Johansson. The pair met for the third time at Mi ami’s Convention Hall last Mon day night. They had both won once, Pat terson had made boxing history by reclaiming the heavyweight crown of the world after being deposed by Johansson. This match ended the Swedish boxer’s chances for a rematch. He had been tagged in the first round also by a felling blow from the champion. P.11
