B. Hatfield, 202 SjCoun try Lane, Scottsdale. The action is part of a regis tration drive in connection with a new pension bill introduced in the U. S, House of Representa tives earlier this month. The bill would grant a 30 per cent pension increase to those who qualify. Dr. Hatfield is senior vice-com mander of Arizona, Veterans of World War I of the UJS.A., Inc. SIGHTS AND SOUNDS We drove around Coventry and “Shank” pointed out famous churches. Finally, we turned into an area called Tile Hill, where Shank lived and where Ed had lived for many years. We stopped by the Newlins Pub and my hus - band talked with the new manager. He was approached by a little lady who asked him if he was Billy Banks’ boy. Ed told her yea and they spent several min utes speaking of his deceased father. Another tiny woman came for ward and Ed thought she was Mrs. Carter, she laughingly in formed him that he was wrong. She was Mrs. Carter’s mother. Ed told her that she surely must be 100 years old, because she was looking the same when he had gone abroad. Everyone had a laugh, when Mrs. Sprawaithe said that her daughter was ailing. We left the pub and motored toward Kenilworth Castle byway of Green Road. The countryside was beautiful even though it was winter. We enjoyed the drive past old churches and mills. Finally we came to the castle. It looked just the way an old castle should, we got out and entered the gate. A gatekeeper made change while Ed remarked that he and his boyhood companions used to run and play all over Kenilworth Castle freely. He thought it was a little strange to have to pay.
