LOUIS, MO. - Mrs. Louis R. Prothro, a home economist who has served as field repre sentative for Pet Milk Company., has been promoted to an educa tional director. Mrs. Prothro holds a master's degree fromColumbiaUniversity and she served as assistant di etitian for the Mass. Women's Reformatory. She taught home economics at Florida A and M. Pictorial Weekly TWO MEN CAUSE BROADWAY RIOT Two men, whose arrest brought about a mob attack on a Phoenix police car, have been sentenced by city court. The incident hap pened at 24th Street and Broad way. Bobby Joe Brown, 25, of 3154 E. Broadway, was sentenced to 90 days in jail on charges of ob structing officers and property destruction and Albert Cren shaw, 42, no address available, was sentenced to S3O or 15 days on a drunk charge. MICHIGAN SCHOOLS CLOSED FOR 9, 000 HIGHLAND PARK. MICH. - A dispute over the reopening of an all Negro school kept all schools in the public school sys tem closed. More than 9,000 pupils stayed at home while school board officials discussed procedures following a closing issued by a federal judge.
