Staggs, newly elected chairman of die Maricopa County Republican Committee is congratulated by Edward Banks, publisher editor of the Arizona Tribune and a candidate for representative, District 7 (Republican primary). Mr. Staggs urged party workers attending the meeting at Phoenix Public Library Saturday afternoon to get the party moving by getting up and working. He promised to get precinct organization in high gear and felt that the GOP interest was evidenced by a record number of Republican candidates in the forthcoming primary.
