SHARICK, optician JUNEAU The citizens of Whitehorse have a right to their belief in the efficacy of mass meetings. The one held there re cently brought results before the en<i of the week. The evidence brought out in the case of the Pioneer Mining company, of Nome, against the Pacific Coal aud Transportation company, for the pos session of the claim ou Moonlight creek near Anvil, brought out the fact that the laymen on the claim had struck immensely rich pay while pros* pecting with a drill. At a depth of 29 feet the pans averaged 20 cent?. Drill ing was continued to the depth of 35 feet, where it was stopped by water. At that depth the dirt ran $2.75 to the pan.
