here at 45 minutes after six o'clock this
morning. The eipeditiou, with the
Great Eastern, bad been aat twenty-four
d iy, and all hope of success bad been
abandoned by the telegraph people here
The news reached Valencia at 40 min
utes pant five o'clock, one hour and five
minutes before it was received even
here. Signals are sent through the ca
tde with perfect accuracy, and we arc
talking with the Great Eastern avery
moment, via Valencia, Ireland 1
Ahowt three hours after the recovery
of the cable, the splire was made with
'be cable stowed in the main tank of the
'Ireat F.astern, and the lowering of the
cable into the sea immediately took
place. The hie ship is now paying oat
