Halleck, Gen. A. G. Tussiii, Col. T. D. Vroom
aud Col. J no. O. Thompson. The invited
parties present were, Samuel Mooser, of Hal
feck Station. Gabriel Cohn. uiul .lake Marks,
of this place. The affair was cotton up in ex
cellent taste and was enjoyed by the partici
pants with rare gusto. Wine flowed as freely
as the waters of the limpid llhitic, ami the
repartee aroniul the social board was as bril
liant and sparkling as the meteors that flash
athwart the n/ure dome of heaven. This
genial reunion will long remain fresh in the
memory of those who enjoyed the gorgeous
repast oil the day that we all celebrate.
Kklikf fob Come Distiuc-t.?A ten-stamp
mill for Cope district is now on the way from
Meadow valh-y and will reach this point the
latter jsirt of the week. Teams ure engaged
ami are waiting to load up. It w ill be creeled
under tlie supervision of Mr. Norton to do
custom work. This will ill part meet the de
mauds of the miners of Mountain City. Ar
rangements are being made to erect several
more mills, and when they are built and ready
to turn loose on the inexhaustible supply of
ere that awaits them. Cope district will attract
its merited share of attention, ami the flow of
bullion will he such as was never before seen
from any district in the State, There are
good times in store for the miners oi that dis
trict.

the Mouutuiu City Mining Company to fur
nish the mill with all the ore that it cuu crush
for twelve months from the time it is ready to
start up. This mine will couie as near doing
it as any in the State.

districts in the northern country and Idaho,
