All blacksmiths and wagon mak
ers engaged in setting wagon tires (par
ticularly the successor or occupants of Brown’s
shop on South Main street) are hereby warned
against building fires outside of their shops,
for the purpose of setting tires, during the
prevalence of high winds, as on several occa
sions the town has escaped a conflagrat on
from this source by the vigilance of the Fire
Warden, and any violation of this notice will
bring upon the parties the full penalty of the

The following resolutions were adopted;
Resolved, That said Primaries be held at
such hour, on said day. as the voters of the
said Precintsmay elect except in the Precincts
of Ruby Hill and Eureka First and Second
Wards, in which Precincts the polls shall he
opened at 1 i>. m , and remain open until 7 p.m.
Resolved, That any of the above-named
Judges ure authorized and requested to fill any
and all vacancies existing at the time of hold
ing such Primaries.
Resolved, That the Judges of each Election
Precinct forward to Thomas Haley, Secretary
of the County Central Committee'at Eureka.
Nevada, the returns of the election so held; of
the number of votes east for each person voted
for, and that the Secretary and Chairman of
said Committee shall canvass the returns so
made and Issue the proper credentials to each
Delegate elected.
Resolved, That the names of the Delegates
in each Precinct to be elected to the 8tate Con
vention be printed upon the same ticket as the
Delegates to the County Convention, and that
no vote for Delegates to the State Convention
be received or counted by the Judges, except
those appearing on the same ticket as the Del
egates to the County Convention, and that each
Precinct vote only for the number of Delegates
to the State Convention as herein apportioned
for such District.
Resolved, That the test, for the voters at the
Primaries, shall be—
“Are you a Democrat, and will yo\i support
the nominees of the Btate and County Conven
tions?’'
