The Winnemncca Flouring Mills are now crushing hurley for horacfeed, hav ing ground all the wheat that can he had in the country at this time. Usu ally at this season of the year flour sacked anil ready for purchj. » has beeh piled up high in the mill, but now the case is different. All the flour on hand has been disposed of, and orders from Eureka and other parts of the State for flour, can not be filled. Farmers should make a note of this and sow plenty of wheat tli i - Spring, as the demand for flour is certain to continue, and they will find a ready market for flour in Eureka, Austin and other parts of the State. None of the old top will he left over this year, and unless the railroad company giv ■ California mil lers special rates on flour, farmers in this part of the .State will have at least two cents per pound freight irr m Sac ramento to this place in their favor. There is a probability that there will be plenty of water for irrigating pur poses this season, and that raising wheat will pay handsomely. Imposing on <;ihi:I JiiiUrr. John Jurgens weighs sdnw three hun dred pounds avoirdupois, more or less, but generally more. He, like all other large men, is noted for his good nature, and rarely gets riled. This meriting he went to the Bonanza saloon, as is his usual custom, and opened up. Two s'.angers, whom he suspected of being tramps, entered the saloon and asked for the drinks. Mr. Jurgens said he was not proprietor and had no authori ty to give away any drinks. One oi the tramps, for such they proved to be, said he had plenty of money, and run ning his hand in his pocket, pulled out two twenty-dollar pieces and Rome sil ver. Bottles and glasses were set out on the bar, and the tramps took two good horns, which they refused to pay for, and as there was no o - else about the saloon, demanded more vhisky. Mr. Jurgens refused t<< comply with their request, and they then attemptc 1 to get behind the b ir. This aroused the ire of the gigantic liar-tender and a sen file ensued, in which the tramps were completely vanquished. One of them he held in his vise-like grip, and the other one ran througdi an open door into a hack room, from which lie es cajted into the street, the most complete picture of a used-up man that lias been seen here for years, while the other one will not l>e in condition t.» rule on Hie brake-beam of a freight car for a week or two.
