An enterprising Dutchman from Evans, early last Bunday morning opened n saloon witldn the town limits, on n rancho partially owned by the colony. A committee of horrified Oreeleyltes waited on the saloon keeper, who claimed to have paid s“imi for a lease “of his premises, and said he would see them blessed before he would leave. A consultation was hold, and it wns finally decided to pay the Ger man ,1200 for his lease. Somehow the shanty of tiio saloon keeper being of a combustible nature, had taken fire, and although several times extin gulsed, tho flames continued their work until if was destroyed. Tho liquor was loaded up, with theowner, and escorted to hall, when Xhotattor wns allowed to take his (Je parture.
