in Ihe llistrict of Columbia to tell, give, or adminis
ter to any toldier or volunteer in tlje service of tlie
U l ift a States, or any person wearing the uniform of
sufta soldier or volunt'. cr, any Fpiiituous liquor or
iiittxiintiig drink ; and every person oilVnding
against tie provisions of this act shall be deemed
j. uiliy of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction there
o t. before a magistrate or court baying criminal
juiifdiction. shall be puni-hed bv a line of twenty
five dollars or imprisonment lor thirty days.
