We very anxiously read New Castle Items found iu Tuk Timkb, every Satur day evening. Indeed, we feel proud of our old correspondent for her clever wit, humor and pathos, and to be sure we do not hope to rugke any improvement over ! the style of our old correspondent, bnt as the young people did so much Christmas week, we do not wondei at tho writer for getting some Important items, and with this in view we have come to her assist ance. We wish to add first, to last week's news: That the youngsters here had an enter tainment almost every night for a fort night. Jt’s reported that we are to have three on Thursday night, a tacky party, a pound party, at Mr. Jas. Anderson’s (given for Miss Eola Fitzpatrick), a socia ble at Mr. Dillon’s (for the little ones) and a dance at the pleasant home of Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Adnre. Our friend forgot to mention the sere nades, which were a success in every way. The serenadera got cake every time—one time a salute from Bud Horton’s revolver. Our concert was overlooked, in part, too, for Miss Sola Fitzpatrick recited. If we are any judge, she recites real well. Now for the last, hut not by any means the least of the “over looked” items. Our correspondent forgot to say a word about the ••blues” of a certain young man, who on December ‘J3, just awhile before the bran dance ‘ blew in’’all his Christmas money for OYSTERS ! Josrrpn Littleton. Nervousness and Stomaoh Trouble. Cove, Akk., Dec. 5, 13U4 —My sister was troubled with nervousness anil tired feeling and the doctors said that she had dyspepsia. She tried several remedies without relief until she began taking Hood's Sarsaparilla. My younger sister is taking Hood's Sarsaparilla for some trouble with the muscles or her limbs and she has been benefited. Miss M. R. Scott. A CARD. Editor Times: Of all absurdities, and downright stupidity, emanating from a body pre tending to appear in the role of a “law and order league,” a pattof the “reso lutions” adopted at a meeting of the citizens of Palestine and vicinity, a few days since, take the confectionery. The meeting, it seerns. was for the purpose of condemning arson and other outrages of “anarchy and lawlessness,” which had recently l»een enacted in the village of Palestine. Among other “resolutions” adopted was one favor ing the suppression of any uews items from that locality, which might tind their way to the Memphis Commercial Appeal through that journal’s corret. pondent; thus indicating to an impar tial mind, the favoring of more “anar chy and lawlessness.” The people of that vicinity are sadly in need of a power for the “suppression of all lawlessness,” though it appears that by the way of muzzling the Press and stilling reporters, thereby robbing the public of tile news, is not the proper route. Their proceedure iu this particular was a bold bad break, which will fail of its fancied purpose. The Commercial Appeal correspon dent baa never repotted naught, pro or con, in connection with the deviltry in that locality, except matters of record or public opinion. M. N. It never occur* to moat women that there la a beauty obtainable at little trouble. It la the beauty of rosy cheeks and rnddy health. Moat women lose it through In digestion, biliousness, disordered liver, etc. If yon want to transform a sallow com filezion into the glow of health you can do t by cleansing the system from impurities andf causing the liver to work effectively. No single medicine can accomplish all that is needed. A liver pill will merely sroasc the liver; it will not purify the blood, or repair the waste, or tone up the system. Kor this you must follow your liver pill with some powerful, invigorating tonic. The best, and also the least ex pensive preparation, is Ramon’s Tonic Liver Pills and Ra mon’s Tonic Pellets. You fet these two medicines in separate oxes at the cost of ona—only 25 etnti. Your druggist will tell you that this is a sure cure for bilious ness and constipation.
