Weal, better known ns “Bose,’’ was up from Lee county last week. He is running the Taylor, Sanders and Wil liams farm in that county. Jim Izard, sou of the late \V. II. Ixard, who was well and favorably known here, is now hoarding with Uncle Jesse Hodges and going to school. Mr. J. A. Whittington has just com pleted a beautiful fifteen hundred dollar residence on his farm, two uqles north west of here. Margnret Edwards, a favorite old color ed woman, who has been visiting in Mis sissippi during the hoKidnys, returned last Saturday. Quite a lively law suit was tried in Squire J. J> Scott's court last Saturday . It was thought for a while that court would have to ndjotirn to engage in a knock down and drag out, but matters were adjusted and the court proceeded to investigate the charge. Mr. Jno. I.
